Responsibilities / Tasks
The Process Engineering Team Lead will oversee sales support, engineering, commissioning, and optimization of GEA Process systems within the Beverage & Filling Business Line. The role includes technical supervision and hands-on responsibilities, ensuring process engineering efforts align with GEA standards and meet customer objectives, adhering to quality, safety, and environmental compliance standards. This position offers a flexible working schedule with opportunities for remote or hybrid work.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Mentor and guide Process Engineers.

Ensure deliverables meet GEA quality standards.
-
Participate in design and project reviews.
-
Review and approve key deliverables.
-
Support drafting/review of KPIs and schedules.
-
Approve commissioning plans.
-
Facilitate technical training for new engineers.
Working Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee project phases from initial meetings to optimization.
-
Ensure designs meet customer specifications within constraints.
-
Collaborate with the project team to achieve goals.
-
Maintain accurate records and technical documents.
-
Create and evaluate Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs), Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs), and Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).

Develop equipment specifications and utility consumption designs.
-
Lead software Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
-
Plan and implement test procedures and commissioning plans.
-
Provide technical troubleshooting support.

Conduct plant audits and ensure regulatory compliance.
-
Support safety evaluations such as HAZOP meetings.
-
Provide pre-sale and post-sale support, including site evaluations and training.

Lead or support on-site commissioning activities.
Your Profile / Qualifications
-
BS degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
-
12+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and education (15+ years preferred).

Processing experience in the food, dairy, or beverage industry is required.

Experience in liquid processing or powder handling is preferred.

Strong technical knowledge and equipment design expertise.
-
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
-
Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.

Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
-
Ability to work well in a team setting and independently.
-
Self-motivated, decisive, with commercial/business acumen.
-
Ability to travel approximately 25% (up to 40%) to support various project activities.
