About the Job
I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Manager of Process Engineering directly supervises the Process Engineers of the Process Engineering Department. He or she ensures process engineering deliverables are technically sound, commercially practical and in conformance with expectations of safety, quality, budget, schedule and professionalism.
II. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage Process Engineering
- Coordinate process engineering resources among projects.
- Communicate Process Engineering Staffing Plan to management.
- Ensure technically sound and commercially practical process engineering solutions.
- Ensure department conforms to Polaris' expectations of safety, quality and professionalism.
- Ensure Process Engineering deliverables adhere to budget and schedule and scope requirements of the project.
- Audit the work process and the quality of
- Provide technical guidance to Process Engineers within the department.
- Ensure all work products have been checked, reviewed and approved
- Ensure that all team members are current with Safety training and all other required training
III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Chemical Engineering
- Professional Licensure in Chemical Engineer strongly preferred
- 10 years' process engineering experience, preferably with an engineering and design firm
- 5 years engineering management experience
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and
- Technically competent in Process Engineering and Process Design Practices
- Available for short-term travel
IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:
- Reports to the Chief Operating Officer
IV. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods are sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs at times
