Process Engineer - Motion Recruitment

Our Client, One of the Largest Ecommerce Platforms, is seeking a Process Engineer to design, develop, and validate manufacturing equipment and tools for robotic systems production. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, manage fabrication and validation, and drive optimization and cost-reduction initiatives. The Process Engineer will communicate project updates, risks, and changes to senior management.

ONSITE in Westborough MA

This is a 10 Month W2 Contract (opportunity to convert/extend)

Responsibilities:

• Design and validate tools and fixtures for safe and efficient robotic assembly.
• Oversee fabrication and validation of equipment for New Product Introduction (NPI).
• Optimize equipment performance and lead cost-reduction efforts.
• Write technical and operational planning documents for equipment and infrastructure.
• Conduct process reviews, including Risk and Hazard assessments.
• Foster collaboration and inclusion across teams.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks (product/fixture designs) and AutoCAD (plant layouts).
• Experience with prototyping, accelerated project schedules, and NPI processes.
• Skilled in problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, CAPA, Fishbone) and quality/statistical methods (e.g., PFMEA, control charts).
• Strong communication skills for writing instructions, reports, and metrics.

Preferred:

• Experience with APIS IQ, robotic programming, and troubleshooting mechanical systems.
