As a Process Engineer you will be responsible for initiating, coordinating and implementing manufacturing process improvement initiatives. You’ll integrate Lean Sigma improvement methodologies and activities within the value stream and will serve as a generator and coordinator of ideas for process improvement techniques and implementation strategies. You will ensure that timely and effective results of the process improvements are accomplished. In addition, you will provide daily support for process troubleshooting and product quality, along with the coordination of the resources required to plan, train and implement process improvements.

- Evaluate, synthesize, and interrelate information from internal and external sources when solving problems and making decisions.
- Make decisions based on analysis, experience, and good judgment; solve difficult problems with effective solutions; ask questions and probe diverse sources for answers.
- Accurately scope out length and difficulty of tasks and projects; organize work into logical process steps; use time effectively; establish priorities.
- Involve relevant others in shaping plans and making decisions; participate in group efforts and encourage others’ participation; listen to co-workers’ concerns and provide assistance as appropriate.
- Evaluate the risk/reward priority of improvement opportunities.
- Develop, document, implement, and sustain manufacturing processes using appropriate data and tools.
- Root cause analysis and corrective action.
- Work Environment/Physical Demands: 70% of time will be in the manufacturing production area.
- Strong project management capabilities.
Who are we looking for?
Qualifications:
Required:
- 4-year degree in Engineering.
- 4+ years of manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Wire & Cable industry experience (preferred).
- Experience in process driven, continuous operations.
- Experience leading high performance work teams.
- Experience with process control and new product introduction technologies.
- Proven project management skills.
- Strong record of Lean Sigma Tools implementation.
