Job Details
- Design and develop manufacturing processes to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.
- Create process documentation and detailed operating instructions for manufacturing operations.
- Oversee the implementation of new processes and procedures to ensure seamless integration.
- Analyze existing processes, recommend improvements in methods, and propose enhancements to tooling.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to processes, procedures, and operations as they arise.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as Quality, Delivery, and Cost, and take proactive measures to address underperforming processes.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for project quotes and proposals.
- Conduct risk assessments and actively participate in process Failure Modes and Effects Analyses (pFMEAs) and 8D problem-solving.
- Lead and support improvement projects, including deployment of LEAN methodologies, 6S initiatives, and Continuous Improvement efforts.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure alignment with overall business objectives and goals.
- Ensure timely publication and availability of manufacturing process documentation for shop floor use, including programs, tooling lists, setup instructions, and fixturing details.
- Provide support for emerging operational needs and requests.
- Manage specific projects as assigned, including developing and tracking project schedules in cooperation with program managers
Qualifications
- 2 or more years of process engineering experience
- Experience reviewing and specifying requirements for other processes such as plating, heat treatment and cleaning
- CAD experience
