Responsibilities
The Process Control Engineer will:
- Develop creative solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Analyze project scopes, create criteria, and conduct feasibility studies.
- Provide technical guidance to teams to promote a safe and effective work environment.
- Guide engineering efforts to ensure safe and compliant design for all projects.
- Define and manage project scopes to improve refinery operations while overseeing quality, budget, and schedule.
- Mentor and train new engineers and keep teams current on best practices and new technologies.
- Lead and optimize control system design and implementation for improved unit performance.
- Ensure the Process Control System (DCS), Multivariable Control (MVC), and Safety Instrumented System (SIS) are running efficiently.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred, with at least three years of experience in process control or a similar role in the refining or chemical industries.
- Candidates with eight years of experience supervising controls but without a four-year degree may be considered.
- Advanced skills in modeling, multivariable control, DeltaV, DCS/PLC configuration, and instrument tuning are required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills are also required.
- Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Additional Information
This position is not remote and requires working onsite. While the company will consider candidates with a TN1 Visa, they are unable to sponsor any other visas.
