Position Overview
As the Process Engineer, your primary responsibility is to spearhead operational excellence and oversee capital projects. You'll be stationed at the production facility, reporting directly to the VP of Capital and Engineering.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a culture of safety by setting the example, conducting thorough hazard assessments, and supporting safety initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and manage capital projects aimed at enhancing quality, yield, material usage, and operational efficiency.
- Utilize production and financial data to pinpoint valuable opportunities, develop actionable plans, and maintain transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Coordinate operational excellence endeavors and capital projects in collaboration with site teams, leadership, and external contractors.
- Explore emerging manufacturing technologies and equipment for potential integration into operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering, or a related field. Relevant manufacturing or packaging experience will be considered.
- Minimum 1-year experience in process engineering or continuous improvement, preferably within packaging manufacturing.
- Proficiency in blown film extrusion, film converting, machine reliability, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Demonstrated project management skills in capital and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong data management, analysis, and presentation abilities.
