Summary
Process Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for our clients, in all facets of operation through direct contributions of project development from conception to start-up through to full project delivery. You will apply engineering principles to new and existing facilities with tasks ranging from process design to the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.
- Conduct thorough analysis and evaluation of existing processes to identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions.
- Utilize engineering principles to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring smooth and continuous production.
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures and technical specifications.
- Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven approaches to drive performance enhancements.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, incorporating new technologies and methodologies to enhance process capabilities.
- Support commissioning and start-up activities for new equipment and processes, ensuring seamless integration into existing operations.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to source and evaluate equipment and materials, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Training and mentoring other colleagues.
- Frequent travel required to client sites.
Requirements and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a plant as an engineer preferably in oilseed extraction
- Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software for process optimization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting, moving, stooping, bending, kneeling, squatting, working at heights, etc.)
