About the Job
Description
The Process Engineer is responsible for evaluating existing processes and making recommendations for the configuration of manufacturing systems and processes to reduce cost, improve efficiencies, sustainability and develop best practices within the production process.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a safety role model at all times.
- Provides technical leadership for continuous improvement projects based on improving production rates, efficiencies, yields, costs, and changeovers.
- Develop innovative and creative solutions for legacy opportunities
- Improve process capability and production volume while maintaining and improving quality standards.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to process specialists, operators, and other manufacturing personal.
- Develop and implement systems that optimize all phases of production process.
- Participate and act as subject matter expert during incident investigations. Define and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure projects and other commitments are completed in a timely manner
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS in Engineering required (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred)
- 2+ years in a manufacturing Job Shop environment
- Extrusion Experience, Profile Extrusion a plus.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment
