Founded in Asia in 1992, the company made entry to the North American region in 2013 and is growing its manufacturing footprint into Greenville, South Carolina with the acquisition of a medium to large scale manufacturing complex. Our customer base includes some of the top global corporations with products reaching over 40 countries. The Greenville, South Carolina facility will primarily service the North America, South America and Southeast Asian markets.
The Chemical Process Development Chemist reports to the site manager. The key role is to take the lead in qualification of raw materials, intermediates and finished products as technology is transferred and scaled up at the facility. The role is primarily day shift hours Monday to Friday with overtime expected to meet internal and external customer requirements. The Chemical Process Development Chemist synergizes with the Global Corporate Research and Development Team, Process Engineering Team and Site colleagues.
- A bachelor’s, master or PhD degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, or a relevant science field
- Expertise in laboratory techniques, analytical methods, and instrumentation
- Ability to design and execute research experiments, interpret data, and draw meaningful conclusions
- Strong analytical skills to identify and troubleshoot issues in research processes
- Effective written and verbal communication to document findings and collaborate with colleagues
- High level of accuracy and precision when performing experiments and recording data
- Ability to manage research projects independently, including timelines and budgets
Preferred Skills: - Prior experience synthesizing surfactant polymers, emulsions
- Experience with specific chemical synthesis techniques
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance for research and development
- Experience in product development and formulation
- Familiarity with specialized software for data analysis
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Set up laboratory equipment
- Conduct tests and experiments

- Follow protocols to ensure research is conducted rigorously
