As the Process Controls Engineer , you will be responsible for development of instrumentation and control projects that ensure plant performance and reliability. Activities include identification of opportunities to improve plant performance through the utilization of appropriate control technology, followed by project scope development, cost estimation, project execution and startup. Responsibilities also include maintenance and operations support through troubleshooting assistance, personnel training, and development of systems to improve reliability.

Support ESH Compliance:
+ Support site safety efforts
+ Comply with ES&H regulatory requirements.
+ Conduct necessary ES&H project reviews.
+ Establish/maintain critical alarms and interlocks.
+ Provide technology to track/reduce emissions.
+ Perform job safely, in an environmentally sound manner and in accordance with all cGMP requirements.
Ensure Project Management:
+ Orderly and timely execution of planned projects
+ Meet project cost reporting requirements.
+ Capable of handling multiple priority projects
+ Meet engineering and drafting standards.
+ Assist in the development of cost estimates and IBRs.
+ Reconcile conflicts on assigned projects.
+ Supervise plant’s engineering/maintenance resources and outside contractors on assigned projects.
+ Act as consultant on other control projects within the plant and at other ICL locations
+ Purchase, assist with installation and calibration of field instrumentation, final control devices, and distributed control systems.
+ Participate in decision making for outside resource needs.
+ Serve as liaison and coordinator with outside resources.
+ Participate in training as identified to expand knowledge of control technology.
+ Serve as a resource for new engineers and others.
Ensure Project Development:
+ Develop Project Process control strategies.
+ Develop project functional definitions.
+ Execute projects from concept through startup.
+ Identify viable control alternatives.
+ Anticipate control migration paths.
+ Evaluate and recommend new technologies.
+ Assist in setting and maintaining standards for systems integration and compatibility.
+ Document benefits of control system improvements.
Manage Control System Hardware Design and Specification:
+ Select user friendly hardware / systems.
+ Utilize simulations and modeling.
+ Utilize advanced process control / expert systems.
+ Incorporate DCS in projects.
+ Incorporate data historian in projects.
+ Assist in managing PI data historian.
What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
+ B.S. Engineering Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or Instrumentation preferred.
+ Allen-Bradley ControlLogix
+ Inductive Automation Ignition HMI
+ PLC controllers
+ Microsoft Windows based Server/Thin-client Architecture, Server environment using Virtual Machines; configuration, monitoring, and management.
+ Proven track record of program development on Allen-Bradley ControlLogix utilizing Ladder, FBD, SFC, Structured Text, Wonderware Intouch / IAS scripting, VB, .NET, MS SQL, and VB Script, Ignition HMI.
+ Knowledge of field hardware and instrumentation.
+ Previous work in industrial manufacturing environment; chemical manufacturing desired.
+ Working knowledge of industrial electrical distribution.
+ Ability to safety exit the plant in the event of an emergency.
Compensation at ICL: If you are hired at ICL, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $91,000 - $125,000
Annual Bonus Target: 7%, subject to plan provisions.
