About the Job
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)/Home Health Aide (HHA) is an essential caregiver who supports patients in daily tasks, working closely with nurses and healthcare professionals. CNA/HHA's provide quality care and assistance to patients in the home, hospitals, and other medical facilities.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities are developed on a case-by-case basis and may include but is not limited to the following:
- Medication Reminders
- Appointment Transportation
- Bathing/Hygienics
- Meal Preparation
- Light Housekeeping
- Transfers/ADL Assistance
- Digital Charting Documentation
Job Requirements:
ALL application submissions are reviewed.
- High School Diploma/GED
- CNA Certification (preferred)
- Minimum of 1 year experience in field (required)
- CPR Certification (Non-Expired)
- Negative TB Skin Test/X-Ray
- License & Insured Driver
- Reliable Transportation
- Smart Phone with Data Plan
Job Limitations:
According to the Regulated Health Professions Act, the home health aide will not function in any manner viewed as the practice of nursing. Specifically, the home health aide will not administer medications, take physician’s orders, or perform any procedures requiring the training, knowledge, and skill of a Registered Nurse.
Working Conditions:
Individual contact with a client in their living environment. May be required to respond in an emergency situation. Travel required. The position includes tasks that have the potential for exposure to blood and other potentially infectious material (OPIM) such as body fluids/tissues.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, and pull. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
