Private Equity Accountant
We are partnering with a top-tier Private Equity firm in Boston in their search for an Accountant to add to their growing team. A long-standing client with an excellent reputation and long-term growth potential, this is a great opportunity to join a large, well-established team and build a career in the Private Equity space.
The ideal candidate will have a foundation within public accounting handling financial services clients, looking to take the next step in their career. Applicants must be able to work onsite in Downtown Boston 2 days per week according to the client’s hybrid works schedule to be eligible for this position.
Compensation: $60-90K* (DOE)
*salary listed not guaranteed – potential offers vary based on experience level, qualifications, and internal equity and may be outside of this range.

Responsibilities:
- Handle accounting activity related to various private equity funds on a quarterly basis
- Oversee fund activities on a daily/monthly basis
- Collaborate with teammates/analysis of financials related to investments
- Prepare allocation schedules for partners and annual financial statements according to GAAP
- Maintain general ledger accounts on a quarterly basis
- Support auditors with annual audit
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-3 years of Accounting experience required (Public Accounting or Private Equity backgrounds strongly preferred)
- Thorough understanding of U.S. GAAP, client reporting, and compliance standards and practices
- Ability to manage various responsibilities and projects and consistently meet deadlines
- Keen attention to detail and high level of accuracy dealing with data and financial details
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
