Our client, a family of six residing in San Francisco's charming Presidio Heights neighborhood, seeks a full-time Private Chef to join their bustling household. The ideal candidate will possess remarkable flexibility, exude warmth and friendliness, enjoy interacting with children, and demonstrate culinary prowess from everyday family meals to exquisite dinner parties and special events.Some weekend travel will be requested frequently and oftentimes last minute, especially over the summer months. Be up for the adventure and ready to go!
Key Details:
- Schedule: Predominantly Monday-Friday; dinner and lunch/snack prep
- When in Tahoe, the schedule will shift to Thursday-Monday

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with principals to develop creative and personalized menus based on preferences, dietary restrictions, and seasonal ingredients.
- Prepare and present high-quality family-style meals that showcase your culinary skills and attention to detail, appealing presentation, and adherence to proper food safety practices.
- Prepare and present high-quality meals for special occasions and dinner parties.
- Select and procure the finest ingredients, ensuring freshness, quality, and sustainability.
- Develop relationships with local suppliers and vendors to maintain a reliable network of resources.
- Accommodate dietary preferences and special requests while maintaining the highest standards of taste and presentation.
- Oversee and maintain the cleanliness, organization, and functionality of the kitchens and related areas. Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and order as needed.
- Work closely with the household staff to ensure seamless coordination and excellent service delivery. Collaborate with other team members to plan and execute events, parties, and special occasions.
- Travel with the family and be prepared to cook for family members and occasional guests.
- Willingness to engage the children in the kitchen on occasion.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience cooking for private clients, showcasing a deep understanding of diverse cuisines and high-quality ingredients.
- Candidates MUST currently live in the Bay Area.
- A creative mindset and the ability to design unique and innovative dishes.
- Adaptability to accommodate changing menus, dietary restrictions, and client preferences.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, household staff, and other team members.
- A professional demeanor with high integrity, discretion, and confidentiality.
- A degree in culinary arts or a related field is preferred but not mandatory. Relevant certifications, extensive experience, and a proven track record of excellence in culinary roles are highly valued.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be willing to undergo an in-depth background investigation.
- Must have strong longevity in past positions and stellar work references.
- COVID vaccination required.

Compensation & Benefits:
- $150,000+++ | depending on experience
