Responsibilities
Principal Validation Engineer
We are a passionate and dedicated team of world-class analog, mixed-signal, digital and RF engineers committed to building the next generation of ASoCs.
This position is for an experienced and equally passionate Validation Engineer interested in excellent personal and professional growth opportunities.
Your role:
As a validation engineer you will work with a dedicated team validating new SOCs with embedded software, composed of analog and digital circuits, as well as validating systems utilizing new SOCs in audio and wireless applications. Your responsibilities will include developing and enhancing silicon validation systems. Writing test documents, scripts and sometimes FW to automate as much testing as possible. Analyze resulting data both for signal device test metrics and bulk device testing across process and temperature. You will work closely with SOC designers, Product engineers and Application engineers to define, develop and execute validation tests. You will also work with cross functional teams in the lab to understand and debug validation systems and chip issues.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in silicon and/or system validation with mixed signal devices.
- 10+ years (BSEE) or 8+ years (MSEE) of relevant industry experience, ideally in the field of audio
- Experienced PCB Designer (with RF considerations)
- Digital Audio savvy (design and test & measurement)
- Skilled in Software and Firmware development (including Python and/or Labview)
- Data analysis (e.g. JMP)
- Experienced in producing detailed technical reports and documentation
- Professional, open and highly self-motivated attitude
- Hands on lab interest/experience
Ideally you are also experienced in:
- FPGA/RTL design
- RF Systems design and testing (BT, WiFi, proprietary)

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $126,500 - $241,700 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
