About the Role:
A confidential company is seeking a skilled Principal Systems Integration Engineer to join its team. This role focuses on DevSecOps initiatives, supporting classified and unclassified environments, and working on advanced technical solutions for internal stakeholders. This is a backfill position for a Senior DevSecOps role and offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, impactful setting.
Key Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
- Security Clearance: Active or ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI CI Polygraph clearance.
- DoD 8570 Compliance: Required.
- Technical Skills: Solid troubleshooting abilities (OS, applications, network).
Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves):
- Experience with Linux server administration, scripting, and support (Ansible).
- Familiarity with specialized network environments (air-gapped or limited access).
- Hands-on expertise with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and cloud technologies (AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes).
- Experience with VMware technologies (vSphere ESXi, vCenter, Tanzu, NSX).
- Proficiency in AWS services such as IAM Roles, VPC, S3, EC2, RDS, and more.
- Knowledge of DevSecOps tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Artifactory, Kubernetes, Fortify).
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal customers, security teams, and management to maintain and resolve production system issues.
- Perform system maintenance tasks, including log audits, patching, backups, and user account management.
- Work with software development lifecycle concepts like Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), DevOps, CI/CD processes.
- Install, maintain, and support Windows and Linux servers across physical and virtual environments.
- Support engineering applications such as JAMA, Syndia, Tasktop, and MBSE.
- Deploy, orchestrate, and maintain Kubernetes clusters and tools like GitLab, Artifactory, and Ansible.
- Manage DevSecOps pipelines and tools, including Jenkins and Azure DevOps.
- Ensure successful deployment of new application instances, enhancements, and upgrades within classified environments.
Work Environment:
- Regular in-person engagement is required for at least three days each week in the Westminster, CO office.
- Occasional travel between company campuses or other locations may be required.

- This position is primarily based in an office environment.
Additional Information:
This role reports to the Information Technology Services department and is a critical contributor to DevSecOps initiatives. The selected candidate will work on advanced systems for classified and unclassified projects, ensuring compliance with high security and operational standards.
