Raytheon is seeking an organized and energetic Principal Systems Engineer to join our team. The chosen candidate will work within the program which supports a proprietary customer with operational support to 24/7 Operations and carry a pager as necessary. This position will provide technical expertise, analysis, and engineering support to the Weapons and Tactics (W&T) Office. This position requires excellent system engineering, analytical and problem-solving skills in a team environment. Location: Aurora, Colorado
What You Will Do
- Serve as a technical liaison with customers and demonstrate project leadership skills collaborating across customer and contractor boundaries.
- Perform in a high tempo, dynamic small team environment, closely integrated with customers and contractors.
- Keep customer and contractor leadership appraised of activities, deliverables, problems, and opportunities.
- Provide Defensive Space Control (DSC) support to company projects as directed by the customer.
- Maintain situational awareness on evolving threats and new developments including participation at key conferences and forums.
- Develop, coordinate, train, evaluate, and analyze Courses of Action (COAs), Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs), Response Options (ROs) and CONOPS documents.
- Incorporate space protection processes into station procedures, processes, training, requirements, CONOPS, directives and / or operating instructions
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 8 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
- Experience utilizing data and visualization instruments to analyze and assess threat events and options.
- Experience identifying shortfalls in indications, warnings, and foundational intelligence.
- Experience developing mission plans for various threat scenarios.
- Experience supporting Space Control related test, exercise and training.
- An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

- Prior Defensive Space Control experience
- Experience performing detailed work with speed and accuracy
- Experience communicating with customers on complex issues, supporting manager and team perspective on a variety of issues.
