Description of role
Senior-level Systems Architect shall support and generate coherent and integrated design views of the DoD Installation Management business operations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, design, and maintain existing models for specified initiatives within the program office and ensuring traceability/compliance to the established Enterprise Architecture standards and requirements.
- Enterprise architecture and Enterprise requirements.
- Supports the development of cross-functional or large-scale automated information systems to include enterprise architectures.
- Analyzes user's requirements, the concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop specific, well-written process specifications, to which systems and subsystems can be architected and designed.
- Design system architectures to support the total requirements and provide for present and future cross-functional specifications and interfaces.
- Prepare architecture and design models for solutions and components within installation management business capabilities. The design shall be developed in a combination of the OMG SysML 1.3, BPMN 2.0, and UML 2.3 standards.
- Performs analysis evaluation of solution concepts and assessment of risks and costs.
- Provides input for documentation on new or existing systems.
- Guides system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's Degree in Math, Computer Science, or Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- 12+ years of experience in the areas of business process specification and systems analysis.
- Experience in the DoDAF Enterprise Architecture framework.
- Experience with MBSE, processes, tools, and languages.
- Demonstrated experience in delivering business architecture solutions for the DoD Installations, Energy, and Environment functional area.
- Demonstrated proficiency in producing architectural block diagrams and high-level designs.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing problems of work-flows, the organization, and planning and developing appropriate corrective actions.
- Experience with an enterprise data warehouse.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Tools.
- Experience developing system-of-systems functional mission architectures and capabilities using proven methodologies for complex DOD communications based programs including migration of legacy systems into modernized net-centric, service-oriented architectures.
- Knowledge of Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) and Lean Principles.
- US Citizenship is required.
