Description:
St. Louis School is seeking a principal to lead our 300 Pre-K - 8th grade students effective with the 2025-2026 school year. Centrally located between Cincinnati and Indianapolis, St. Louis has a history of producing vibrant young Catholics who are academically prepared to succeed due to the dedication of an exceptional teaching staff, supportive parents and a parish that truly sees the school as one of its more important missions.
As the administrative head, the principal has chief responsibility for the effective operation of the school following the policies and guidelines established by the Office of Catholic Education in the Archdiocese of Indianapolis.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Professional development and leadership of faculty and staff;
- Serve as the primary school representative to parents, School Commission, the Parish at large and the community;
- Responsible for building and reinforcing a strong school culture through faith-based leadership;
- Oversee curriculum development;
- Provide input in the budgeting process and the financial management of the school;
- Leads marketing and outreach

- Be a Catholic in good standing;
- Possess exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
- Exhibit a passion for student achievement and academic excellence
- Be skilled at hiring, training and retaining teachers and staff, with a passion for building and developing a culture of spirituality, shared goals, enthusiasm and teamwork;
- Possess a valid administrator's license;
- While qualified candidates of varying levels of experience will be considered, the ideal candidate will be seasoned, innovative, experienced, and comfortable in positions of leadership that require confident, consistent, reasoned, and decisive judgment.
