Job Description
As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Principal Solutions Architect specializing in the Independent Software Vendor (ISV) segment, you will be at the forefront of cloud innovation, partnering with multiple SaaS-focused ISV customers and AWS Industries customers to design and implement cutting-edge cloud architectures. Your expertise in SaaS models and deep understanding of AWS services will be crucial in helping our diverse clientele overcome business challenges, accelerate time-to-market for their products, and build elastic, scalable, and cost-optimized applications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 10+ years experience developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud computing.
- 10+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
- 10+ years experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences and at C-level, including training, workshops, publications.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Extensive technical breadth complemented by deep expertise in SaaS architectures, cloud computing, and ISV best practices.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to articulate the business value of AWS platform and services in the context of SaaS delivery models and industry-specific solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with multiple customers at various organizational levels across different industries.
- Experience in developing technology solutions and evangelizing end-to-end technology roadmaps that guide IT transformations toward cloud-based SaaS models.
- Proven track record of helping traditional software companies and industry leaders transition to SaaS models and adopt ISV best practices.
A Day in the Life:
- Engage with product owners across various ISVs and AWS Industries customers to influence product direction, leveraging your extensive knowledge of SaaS best practices and AWS services.
- Guide AWS Industries customers in their transition to SaaS models, helping them adopt ISV best practices and optimize their solutions for cloud delivery.
- Help multiple ISV and Industries customers tap into new markets by utilizing AWS Services, with a focus on SaaS-specific solutions and architectures.
- Identify patterns and trends applicable across the ISV and Industries segments, accelerating innovation and driving adoption of cloud-native SaaS models.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to numerous organizations, assisting them in understanding and implementing advanced cloud-based solutions tailored to SaaS delivery models.
- Develop and execute strategies to build knowledge and promote broad use of AWS across multiple accounts, with an emphasis on SaaS-centric architectures and ISV best practices.
- Collaborate with internal AWS teams, including service teams, marketing, and professional services, to deliver comprehensive solutions to our ISV and Industries customers.
- Represent AWS in high-level discussions with Enterprise Architects, Technical Architects, Cloud Architects, Directors, VPs, and CXOs from various companies.
- Knowledge of distributed systems design and implementation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of large scale automation and workflow management or equivalent.
- Knowledge of database design and implementation or equivalent.
- Knowledge of presentations and whiteboarding skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with internal and external executives, IT management, and developers.
- Experience architecting, migrating, transforming or modernizing customer requirements to the cloud.
