We are looking for a Principal Software Engineering Manager with technical capabilities, experience in back-end processing, Azure technologies and leadership skills to drive projects from inception to delivery.

**Responsibilities**
+ Set and communicate team priorities that support the team's goals.
+ Align strategy, process, and decision-making across teams.
+ Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals.
+ Meet regularly with individuals to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.?
+ Develop the technical vision and roadmap withinthe scope of your teams.
+ Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.?
+ Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.?
+ Collaborate with stakeholders and partners to drive objectives and goals.
+ Lead and model by producing high quality code with appropriate design patterns and best practices.
+ Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

**Qualifications**
**Required/Minimum Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
**Other Requirements:**
Ability?to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements?are?required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:??
+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be?required?to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Additional or Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 4+ years people management experience.
Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,600 - $256,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $173,200 - $282,200 per year.
