The software you build is a very large application that empowers our global community of 2M+ developers to push the boundaries of interactive gaming.
Your work will touch every part of the engine, from threading and memory management to physics and scripting.
If you enjoy working on C++ software alongside experienced and passionate engineers, you will be right at home on our growing game engine team.You Will:Work on low and high level systems across the game engine platform and serversProfile and optimize existing code we have across the platforms we support.
(Android, Windows, iOS)Work cross functionally with other teams to improve performance.Develop engine code that performs well for all user-created games on the Roblox platformImprove scripting, memory management, bootstrapping, and other fundamental layers of the Roblox engineInvestigate and collaborate with external developers to improve the performance of their experience on the Roblox platform.You Have:8+ years experience and you've worked on deep and challenging problems in complex C++ codebasesExperience or exposure to game engine technologiesExperience with Android low level development.For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below.
The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand.
Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range.
