Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Principal Security Engineer to join our team and play a key role in the design, implementation, and management of our enterprise security infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on endpoint protection, network security, cloud security, and email/browsing protocols. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in network or security operations, with expertise in managing and optimizing security controls across various technologies. A hybrid work schedule is available based on experience and tenure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and monitor security solutions across networks, servers, endpoints, and storage.
- Manage endpoint security solutions, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring of alerts.
- Design and maintain security controls for cloud environments and ensure their operational effectiveness.
- Develop and document security standards, procedures, and incident response protocols.
- Conduct security assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Oversee encryption technologies (SSL/TLS, IPsec, VPNs) and manage PKI environments.
- Collaborate with audit teams to provide evidence, address findings, and maintain compliance.
- Act as a subject matter expert for security technologies, including firewalls, proxy servers, endpoint protection, and email security solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience in network security or security operations.
- Hands-on expertise in endpoint protection, firewalls, email security, browsing security, and cloud security controls.
- Strong foundation in networking, including experience with technologies such as Cisco, Palo Alto, or Checkpoint.
- Proficiency in managing solutions like Zscaler, Mimecast, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of encryption, VPNs, and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).
- Excellent communication and documentation skills to convey technical information effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to deliver secure, scalable solutions.
