Job Description
The Spent Fuel Handling Project (SFHP) is a 4 billion dollar project focused on replacing the current Expanded Core Facility (ECF) where Naval nuclear fuel is processed, examined, and then prepared for long term storage. The new 213 thousand square foot facility is designed and being built to operate for the next 50 plus years. A team made up of Engineers and Subcontract Technical Representatives follow the contractors to ensure the standards and quality are being met. This requires document reviews, assisting in writing Technical Change Requests (TCRs) and following the work which will require at times working alternate shifts to support critical evolutions.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering or a science related field and a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously Shift Supervisor Part II qualified; or Qualified SIT and 3 years as EOOW in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Currently or previously CRE qualified; or 6 years as SRE; or SRE qualified and 9 years of experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in construction, engineering or a science related field and a minimum of 7 years of experience.

Pay Range
$103,100.00 - $161,100.00 annually

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation. - A mechanical engineering degree is preferred but other disciplines would be considered.
- Experience working on or with HAVC systems, or other large commercial buildings infrastructure.
