Principal Program Manager - Microsoft Corporation

The Global Expansion team is looking for a talented, highly motivated leader to drive efficiency, scalability and repeatability in our systems that improve margin, quality, and delivery of Sovereign Clouds with focus on driving business outcomes on Identity and Security workloads. This role is part of a dynamic and high-impact team to drive business goals of Global Expansion and Customer Promises of both the Azure Public & Specialty cloud offerings. In this role, you will work closely with senior-level, deep-expertise globally situated peers across multiple lines of business in Geo-Expansion, Datacenter, Operations, and Buildout disciplines to plan, coordinate, and execute complex cloud services-based projects. You will collaborate across multiple groups within and beyond GET, seeking to align priorities of Azure with partner engineering organizations. The successful candidate will have a bias for action, curiosity for the 'whys', a proven ability to maintain an outcome-based viewpoint, and an ability to fail fast and learn. The successful candidate will also exhibit positive traits indicative of collaboration, organization, an eye for detail, and business-acumen to ensure the team succeeds and achieves their goals. **Responsibilities** • Coordinate strategy and align business functions for successful delivery of Azure Sovereign Clouds and capabilities of Identity, Security and Commerce. • Develop business processes, governance, and tools to enable strategic decision making for Sovereign Clouds and buildout to meet demanding customer requirements and timelines, providing solutions that produce increased business productivity. • Driving a consistent product design across Microsoft and Azure for sovereign clouds for hundreds of engineering teams • Coordinate flow of information across executive, management, and technical layers to improve efficiencies in executing to Azure's committed schedules and plans. • Communicate succinctly and optimize interactions with senior stakeholders across multiple lines of business including engineering groups and strategic partners. Demonstrate strong cross group collaboration and the ability to influence and make decisions in partnerships with other teams and external partners. • Lead and coordinate cross-team meetings to orchestrate a rigorous rhythm of business that operationalizes process and drives quality and consistency in design and development of Azure for Sovereign Clouds. • Communicate succinctly and optimize interactions with senior stakeholders across multiple lines of business including engineering groups and strategic partners across areas of Identity, Security and Commerce. • Demonstrate strong cross group collaboration and the ability to influence and make decisions in partnerships with other teams and external partners. • Ensure alignment of strategy for delivery of Azure cloud offerings with governing infrastructure principles. • Lead and coordinate cross-team meetings to orchestrate a rigorous rhythm of business that operationalizes process and drives quality and consistency in design and development. • Maintain scaling mechanisms including playbooks, internal documentation, and recurring reporting as it relates to strategy and expansion. **Qualifications** Required Qualifications: • 7+ years of experience in a Technical Program Manager role, designing and shipping complex programs. • 3+ years of experience in Cloud Identity, Security and Commerce. • Experience working with a multi-regional, diverse team and individuals. • Great problem solving and strategic thinking skill with an enthusiasm for understanding how things work and bringing structure to an ambiguous environment. • Process oriented, organized, and strong communicator (both written and verbal). Willingness to learn. Background Check Requirements Qualifications: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
