Job Summary:
Supermicro is looking for Principal Product Engineer to focus on Server Cluster. The individual will do cluster level hardware solutions using existing server models and plan new cluster level hardware solution with new under development server models. This role will be based on our headquarters located in the San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Configure cluster for new server models for early engaging with customers
• Provide solutions, BOM, for customer cluster request of RFP, RFQ, RFI
• Predict cluster performance
• Define cluster workload, benchmark, tests
• Prepare detail cluster documents
• Provide training and promotion for Cluster products
• Work with vendors for cluster development, test, and promotion
Qualifications:
• Master degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related majors, or 17 years' elated industrial fields.
• 7 years on Intel/AMD/Nvidia CPU/GPU/DPU server platform application, architecture on performance optimization design, prediction, calculation.
• Familiar with Intel/AMD/Nvidia technique site service
• Familiar with memory, storage device, file system, Ethernet application, performance prediction/calculation on scale up, scale out
• Familiar with HPC/cluster/server workload, benchmark for computing, generative/inference AI, finance, government, enterprise, CFD, Nvidia solutions, etc.,.
• Be able to provide solutions for customer RFP, RFI, RFQ
• Ability to work independently with customer but excellent in teamwork with colleagues
• Engage with customers at various levels, new product early engagement with customer
• Large cluster hardware configuration, deployment is plus
• Be able to travel to different countries
Salary Range
$180,000 - $220,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
