Principal ML Engineer at Lumicity

Principal AI/ML Engineering opportunity with a fast-growing Biotech company!

We're looking for a Senior or Principal-level engineer with a background in artificial intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning with a focus on developing and optimizing generative models.

Required experience with AI models relating to bioinformatics, pharmaceutical, or drug development projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI models (Generative AI techniques such as GANs, VAEs, and Transformers)
• Implement machine learning pipelines and workflows to support the deployment and maintenance of AI models
• Analyze large datasets to extract meaningful insights and patterns that can inform model development
• Optimize and fine-tune generative models for performance, scalability, and robustness
• Work with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate AI models into production systems
• Lead projects and mentor junior team members

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of industry experience
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Biology, or similar - Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI/ML frameworks.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices
• Strong understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques
• Experience with cloud platforms - AWS, GCP, Azure
• Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical members
