Job Summary:
Principal Manufacturing Engineer works on behalf of Mercury Systems' Operations organization to provide direction and oversight in the development and manufacturing of highly complex electro-mechanical assemblies. Works in a team environment with developing engineering to implement best practices with an emphasis on design for manufacturability, assembly and test. Actively involved in root cause analysis with corrective actions to prevent reoccurring defects. The candidate must demonstrate attention to detail, strong analytical skills, documentation, and excellent verbal / written communication. Must have the ability to work on different phases, sub-tasks, or entire projects of high complexity, with results impacting on project completion.
You will be a part of our Sensor Systems organization located in Hudson, NH. We provide leading-edge sensor processing technologies tailored for mission-critical applications. Our products and solutions include secure embedded processing modules and subsystems, mission computers, secure and rugged rackmount servers, safety-critical avionics, RF components, multi-function assemblies, subsystems, and trusted custom microelectronics.

Job Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership in electro-mechanical assembly, developing technology, performance, quality, and cost
- Leads team driving Design for Manufacturability (DFM/A) and Test (DFT) activities
- Actively participates in New Product Introduction / Transition, all aspect of the phase gate process
- Facilitate and support root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Support design changes, tooling updates, and production ramp
- Provides Production Support and resolution for technical issues
- Responsible to improve first pass yield MES, developing router, process improvements interface with Engineering for product changes and the execution of ECO's
- Lessons learned for New Product Equipment and Software Validation
- Create, verify, and validate manufacturing requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree, preferably in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering
- 7+ year's related experience Production manufacturing experience in Aerospace & Defense, Medical Device, Semiconductor, or Contract Manufacturing
- New Product Introduction (NPI) experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced Degree
- Active Secret Clearance
- Aerospace & Defense Industry Experience
- Electro-Mechanical PCBA Assembly experience
- Engineering specifications - Gerber, Layouts, prints Bill of Material (BOM) structure Enterprise Systems Experience (Aegis Factorylogix MES, PLM, Oracle MRP, ERP)
- MES experience - Aegis Factorylogix Failure Analysis experience CAD analysis tools Product Design & Development cycle experience Working Knowledge of ESS, HALT / HASS Statistical Process Control (SPC)
- Lean or Six Sigma Black or Green belt
