• Mission Support Job Description The Building People, LLC, has a position open for an experienced Principal Construction Project Manager with a Top Secret Clearance.
Responsibilities include providing the federal client with professional on-site construction, facility, and project management services across a variety of small to large-scale construction projects.
Projects may include space upgrades or modification/reconfiguration of spaces to meet the mission needs of clients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Effectively manage an assigned portfolio of projects while addressing challenges related:
• Space acquisition, budgeting and cost management, Scheduling, estimating,
• Construction, space reconfiguration, tenant outfitting
• project administration, program management, logistics, furniture
• Building upkeep and general management of client facilities.
• Manage 7 and up to 15 trained real estate facilities professionals based on project assignment growth.
Skills & Requirements Required Experience & Skills
• A minimum of 4 years' experience in commercial/government facility construction project management relating to:
• interfacing with GSA, A&E firms, building suppliers, and construction trades
• Understanding of construction methodology and scheduling
• Experience developing government project cost estimates and tracking funding
• Ability to develop project schedules in MS Project and/or Primavera P3-P6
• Ability to direct facility construction activities and run construction progress meetings
• Ability to electronically review, store, and print AutoCAD documents
• Experience on commercial/government projects that included a large percentage of systems furniture.
• Ability to pass a "suitability" background investigation and ability to gain a MINIMUM OF TOP SECRET CLEARANCES (with eligibility for SCI access) required.
Preferred Experience & Skills
• Registered PE, PMP, and/or RA
• Experience managing complex new construction or major renovation commercial/government building projects with experience managing simultaneous construction and/or building projects
• Ability to work independently, in groups, and in a stressful environment Required Education
• An architecture, engineering, or construction management bachelor's degree (civil, mechanical, electrical or architectural, etc) from an accredited University recognized by the U.S.
Department of Education Qualifications *Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.
