Principal Java Software Engineer Richardson, Texas Clearance Required: Active DOD Top Secret Clearance/SCI Rate: $75 to $100 an hour depending on Benefit Package and Qualifications Do you have a solid foundation in Java and experience working in a Linux environment to comprehend customer needs and translate those needs into viable design solutions? As we are seeking a Java Engineer who has experience working within a DOD Environment to update Cloud Technology to meet National Defense Technology.
Impact:
• Opportunity to use your understanding of software principles, theories, and concepts related to software engineering (including software development lifecycle and software development process), design patterns, and Object Oriented architecture.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Demonstrate your critical thinking skills with the ability to communicate concepts and ideas well while supporting other program developers and stakeholders.
• Obtain and maintain SCI program access and complete polygraphs.
Qualifications Required
• Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
• Over 8 years of Java Software development experience.
• Agile or DevSecOps toolsets (e.g.
Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, etc.).
• AWS Cloud Technologies.
• An Active U.S.
government issued Top Secret/SCI security clearance is required.
Qualifications We Prefer
• Docker and Kubernetes Containerization
• Agile Methodologies.
• DevSecOps and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery.
• Building automated tests.
