Are you ready to make an impact?We are looking for a Principal Data Engineer/Architect with strong application development and architecture skills to work with our clients to solve technology needs.
Architects will be responsible for working directly with multiple clients in various industries leading a highly collaborative team of the best and brightest engineers at West Monroe.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Technology and Experience practice on strategic enterprise architecture projects, post-merger integrations, and leading large-scale implementations.Your West Monroe team will be comprised of our industry specialists as well as your technical and functional counterparts.
Together, we work with client leadership to set vision, define strategy, and execute via project implementation to add the value that only West Monroe Partners can.
As an Architect at West Monroe, you will help set the direction for this growing team.Responsibilities: Architects are expected to interact with key decision makers (CIO, IT Directors, etc...) at our clients to drive projectsArchitects are expected to lead and mentor a technical team lead while leading projects and being the client liaisonArchitects are expected to be an expert and suggest new technologies to our clientsArchitects lead on full life-cycle projects from requirements gathering through development, implementation, and roll-outArchitects have the flexibility to be creative and impact designs with a “blank slate” development mentality within the general boundaries of clients’ expectationsArchitects work on highly interactive custom web front ends as well as full application and system development / integrationQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred, or equivalent experience required7-11+ years of work experience in a data environment Development of or architecture of modern distributed architectures using modern messaging patterns and toolsStrong software engineering experience with the following core competencies:Expertise within Databricks. Experience working with relational databases (Microsoft SQL Server) and working with large unstructured data setsStrong experience with ETL procedures and ideation from scratchExperience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.Experience with reporting tools such as Microsoft PowerBI and TableauWorking knowledge or experience working with Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake or Azure Data Factory.Experience in working with in a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based project environmentAbility to lead and mentor other team members or developers while leading projectsA commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives Consulting firm/industry experience preferred Willingness to travel for out of town client engagementsBased on pay transparency guidelines, the salary range for this role can vary based on your proximity to one of our West Monroe offices (see table below).

Individual salaries are determined by evaluating a variety of factors including geography, experience, skills, education, and internal equity.Employees (and their families) are covered by medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance.

Employees will also receive unlimited flexible time off and ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
