About the Job
CyTech Services is currently recruiting for Network Engineer in Pensacola, FL. This position requires TS/SCI clearance.
All levels of Network Engineer will have the skills listed below. Each level may have additional education, skill and/or experience requirements.
The Network Engineer maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network. Maintains technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc. May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings. Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions. Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems. May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment. May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.
Required skills include the following:
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Support enterprise and development network infrastructure.
- Support maintenance, troubleshooting and IA of network.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: TCP/IP, Cisco switches, routers, VLAN configuration, firewalls, VPN, storage (SANS, RAID, etc.), Network Intrusion Device Systems, etc.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following: ACLs, IAVA, DCID 6/3, STIGS, etc.
- Evaluate, test, install and implement new and existing hardware and software across physical media, protocol stacks, switches, routers, firewalls, intrusion detection devices, and network management components.
- Perform problem isolation and resolution of network problems through troubleshooting and devising effective solutions.
- Install patches and maintain accurate records of program corrections and patch levels. Perform Network Management functions such as, network monitoring, network performance measurement and reporting.
- Perform vulnerability scans, (e.g., Harris STAT, Retina).
- Perform updates to network devices, including Firewalls, NIDS, switches, routers and crypto devices.
- Maintain accurate records of program corrections and patch/update level.
- Support development and maintenance of all required network policies and procedures.
Desired skills include:
- Experience or familiarity with Agile development methodology.
Certifications:
- DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I required.
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred.
- No demonstrated experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering or a related discipline is required.

1.3 ENW03: Network Engineer – Senior I
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following is required: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, network traffic flow, traffic and packet analysis.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with tools used for security analysis (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark, snort, ngrep, nmap, strings, hexdump, md5sum, systools) is required.
- Experience with Security Event Incident Management, Log Correlation and Network Behavior Anomaly detection systems (ArcSight, QRadar , Splunk, Mazu, Arbor, etc) is required.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with IDS systems (e.g., SNORT, SourceFire, Proventia, BroIDS) is required.
Certifications:
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or similar certification required.
- DoD 8570.1-M Compliance at IAT Level I certification required.
- IA level II or CND level II certification preferred (e.g., Security+, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, GCIH, GSEC certifications).
- Six (6) or more years of software development experience required.

1.4 ENW04: Network Engineer – Senior II
Additional Responsibilities and/or skills:
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with one of more of the following is required: Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), log analysis, malware analysis, network traffic flow, traffic and packet analysis.
- Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with tools used for security analysis (e.g., tcpdump, Wireshark, snort, ngrep, nmap, strings, hexdump, md5sum, systools) is required.

1.5 ENW05: Network Engineer – Principal I

- Plan or support large-scale network engineering projects through operations, performance, testing, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training and support, system disposal and/or vendor comparison and cost studies.
- Ensure the stability, integrity and efficient operation of current networks.
- Apply communication, analytic and problem-solving skills to identify, communicate and resolve issues.
- Evaluate current network systems and architectures.
- Solve complex problems where analysis of situation requires in-depth evaluation of various factors.
- Conduct open-systems architecture assessments.
- Responsible for research, design, development, deployment, configuration, administration, and maintenance of Intrusion Detection System (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and Security Information/Event Management (SIEM) infrastructure.
- Provide customer with technical design support to network acquisition specification, design, proof-of-concept prototyping, development and evaluation of management information and decision support systems.

- Demonstrated experience with one of more of the following required: BGP, IGRP, DNS, VVRP, resilient network design, VLAN's, VPN's, NetFlow, packet capture technologies.

- Provide technical direction for large-scale network engineering projects, including operations, performance, testing, manufacturing, cost and schedule, training and support, and/or system disposal.
- Interface directly with customer and program management team.
- Provide status to program management and input to customer status reports.
- Establish common processes across tasks, including configuration management (CM), risk management, quality assurance (QA), etc.
- Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS), compliant with ANSI/EIA Standard 748-B preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology required.
- Project Management experience preferred.
Certifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification preferred.
- Agile software development methodology certification (e.g. SCRUM Master) preferred.
