We are looking for a **Principal Architect** with a strong track record of managing architectural staff, overseeing complex projects, and delivering high-quality designs. ### **Key Responsibilities**
- **Leadership & Team Management:**
Lead and mentor a team of architects, designers, and support staff. Foster a collaborative and creative work environment, promoting professional growth and development.
- **Project Management:**
Oversee all phases of the design and construction process for commercial and high-end residential projects, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- **Client Relations:**
Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as the primary point of contact. Understand client needs, present design concepts, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
- **Design & Technical Excellence:**
Provide creative direction and technical oversight on architectural projects, ensuring innovative design solutions that align with client objectives and industry best practices.
- **Business Development:**
Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including preparing proposals, networking, and presenting at industry events to expand the firm's portfolio.
- **Strategic Planning:**
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm, including long-term planning, resource allocation, and identifying growth opportunities.
- **Ownership & Equity Opportunities:**
Participate in the firm’s leadership and decision-making processes, with the opportunity to gain ownership and equity in the business.
### **Qualifications**
- **Registered Architect (RA)** with current licensure in the state of Montana (or the ability to obtain Montana licensure within 6 months).
- **10+ years of experience** managing architectural teams and projects, with a focus on commercial and high-end residential designs.
- Proven experience in **leading projects** from concept through construction administration, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.
- Strong **design portfolio** showcasing expertise in commercial and high-end residential projects.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in architectural design software, including **Revit, AutoCAD, and SketchUp**.
- Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction standards.
- Experience in **business development** and the ability to generate new client relationships.
- Highly organized with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
