Press Operators - Stamping
2nd & 3rd Shifts
Starting pay rate: $19.60 + $1.00 per hour shift differential
Press Operator -- Stamping performs duties required to efficiently operate the stamping press to manufacture quality parts.
Responsibilities:
- Performs press operations in accordance with Operation Standards and Work Instructions.
- Detects and reports defective materials to supervisor.
- Conducts press operation safety checks on prescribed intervals.
- May perform minor maintenance and machine adjustments.
- Operates overhead crane to stage steel coils at the press.
- Records production data in the system.
- Performs general clean-up and organization of work area (SCORE- Safety, Cleanliness, Organization, Responsiveness, and Efficiency).
- Other duties as assigned to maintain production.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma.
- Follows all safety requirements of the company -- PPE, (hat, glasses, steel-toed boots, uniform, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.
- Able to safely and efficiently operate a forklift by passing forklift training class and obtaining license.
- Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Able to read and understand operation standards, job instructions and product labels.
- Able to handle multiple tasks and meet production quotas.
- Overhead crane training.
Work Environment:
- Plant environment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Regularly exposed to dust, odors, noise, smoke, etc.
