Reporting to the Executive Vice President of UPMC Insurance Services Division, and Chief Operating Officer of UPMC Health Plan, the President of Workpartners will oversee all components of the Workpartners business including an Employee Assistance Program, Analytics Group, Workers’ Compensation and Absence Management, serving customers throughout the United States. The President will establish strategic direction/priorities in collaboration with other senior leaders, communicate priorities to the broader team, and support ongoing evaluation of progress toward goals.
We are looking for a collaborative leader with the ability to effectively build relationships both internally and externally. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and results-driven leader with a strong understanding of new product development and target markets. The President must approach this role with an innovative lens and will play a key role in developing growth opportunities that focus on the unique strengths of Workpartners, both regionally and nationally.
Select Responsibilities:
- Ensure integration and growth by focusing on alignment, product development, implementation and retention of assigned products and services.
- Oversee client relationship management for all products and services providing personal support for account management on major accounts when needed.
- Complete evaluations of commercial workers’ compensation products.
- Work collaboratively with Clinical, Network and Quality Departments to enhance development and application of training, performance improvement and education programs for providers in the plans.
- Responsible for the critical business strategies and go-to market plans across market and product segments.
- Consistently strive to ensure product regulatory compliance with all products.
- Continually evaluate operations of all business lines and service along with development of new services.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BA/BS from a reputable, accredited institution is required; MBA or equivalent degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of success in leadership positions with progressive management and sales experience in health or general insurance market required.
- 5+ years of Director-level experience managing a large and dispersed team.
- Experience in an industry such as insurance relating to interpreting and executing contracts is desired.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or experience leading or playing a significant role in Lean or other process improvement methodologies is highly desirable.
- CSP, ARM, CPCU preferred.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across the organization and establish relationships and efficient processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
