About the Job
Our client is a renowned global commodity software company in search of a Presales Director. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from any location in North America and requires 20% travel, covering both domestic (mainly) and international destinations.
This individual will hold a critical position in the company's sales endeavors. Your responsibilities will include showcasing the functional, product, and technical facets of software to potential clients, with a particular focus on the Agriculture, Liquids, and Metals sectors.
Applicants for this position MUST possess prior experience in commodities, with a preference for agricultural expertise. However, experience in liquid, metals, or energy commodities will also be taken into consideration.
While presales experience is preferred, this role also presents an opportunity for individuals with a background in client services or professional services who have previously collaborated with presales teams to transition into this function.
Responsibilities:

Engage with potential clients to comprehend their business processes and create compelling value propositions.

Identify pain points and develop technical solutions while creating product and solution presentations and collateral.

Manage the entire response process for RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, including business process analysis, product demonstrations, workshops, and technical requirements.

Collaborate closely with product managers and propose proof of concept during customer interactions.
Requirements:

Extensive experience in client-facing roles, such as consulting, sales, presales, account management, or delivery, with at least three years in a senior presales capacity, taking full responsibility for client communication, RFI response management, product demonstrations, and workshops.

In-depth knowledge of various asset classes, with a specific focus on Agriculture, Liquids, and Metals.

Prior experience in a similar role within enterprise-scale SaaS platforms, particularly in Enterprise-Scale SaaS.

Functional and technical knowledge, including an understanding of C/ETRM, supply chain, risk, and technical expertise in systems integration involving ERP packages (e.g., SAP, Oracle, etc.).

Proficiency in one-on-one communication with senior business and IT managers of global corporations.

Extensive experience delivering engaging presentations to large audiences, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of both domain and technology.

The ability to craft proposals encompassing technical and commercial propositions.
