Volt is immediately hiring for Prep & Powder in Fresno.
As a Prep & Powder candidate you will:
This position is for the coating department where you will perform an assortment of activities to prepare weldments and other fabricated parts for powder coating.
This includes grinding, blasting and general preparation of weldments for powder coating and final surface finishing. You must possess manual dexterity & have respect for safety precautions. Have attention for detail that leads to class A coated finishes.
This is a full-time opportunity.
Monday-Friday sometimes Saturday
The ideal candidate will have:

Pay Rate: $16.50-$18.50 per hour depending on experience

- Basic Math Skills: For measuring ingredients or materials accurately.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Standing for Long Periods: May be required to stand for extended periods of time.
- Lifting: Some roles may require lifting heavy bags or containers of powder.
- Ability to Work in Controlled Environments: Depending on the industry, working in environments like clean rooms or areas with strict hygiene standards.
- Experience in Manufacturing or Production (Preferred): Experience in a similar position or industry can be a plus.
- Safety Training: Knowledge of safety protocols, especially when handling chemicals or materials that may be hazardous.
- Certifications: Depending on the industry, certifications in handling materials or operating machinery might be required (e.g., OSHA certifications for manufacturing environments).
- Cosmetic Industry: Knowledge of cosmetics or skincare products, along with hygiene and quality control standards.
- Pharmaceutical/Manufacturing Industry: Awareness of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and strict adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Teamwork: Ability to work well in a team environment.
