Position Summary:The Prep Cook/Steward assists in preparing & production of food for the venue at catered & suite functions. They are responsible for the set-up, sanitation, cleaning & closing of work station area. Employees will work in a ever changing, fast-paced environment. The employee must maintain excellent attendance & be available to work an event based schedule.
Seasonal starts September, Ends July.
This role will pay an hourly rate of $15 to $18.

This position will remain open until September 15, 2024.
Responsibilities:- Assists with the delivery of food to designated function areas
- Assistes with cooking (firing) of food products utilizing a variety of equipment: convection ovens, fryers, steamers, among others
- Assists with preparation of suite pre-orders, catering events & varying concession items
- Follow a prep list created by chefs for planned duties
- Prepare cooking ingredients
- Prepare & plate dishes as directed
- Cleaning dishes using the dishwasher & handwashing
- Ensures that all work areas and equipment are clean, food products are properly stored/labeled, utensils are clean and put away and floor is swept and mopped at end of shift. The employee must be checked out before ending the shift by the Executive Chef to ensure the kitchen meets cleanliness standards.
- Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas.
- Frequently works independently or with small teams on a variety of specific, detail oriented projects
- Must show demonstrated ability to meet the company standard for excellent attendance.
- Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, volunteers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner which focuses on generating a positive, enthusiastic and cooperative work environment.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment.
- Possess valid food handling certificate if required by state and federal regulations.
