About the Job
Dear Charles, our restaurant located inside The Study at Johns Hopkins is currently seeking a Prep Cook to provide genuine hospitality and the highest quality of service to our guests. The ideal candidate is an ambitious and motivated culinary professional that will work with the chef team to produce high quality products consistently.

Responsibilities
- Dedication to maintaining consistency with food prep and daily tasks.
- Upkeep of kitchen organization and layout.
- Completion of the daily tasks and jobs that are required for service.
- Rotation of goods and proper food storage.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Positive attitude while working with others in a cohesive group.
Fundamentals
- Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Basic knife skills as well as an understanding of recipes and a basic food knowledge.
- Experience: 2+ years kitchen experience in an upscale casual environment.
- Flexibility to work any shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in English required. A second language is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills, including follow-up, time management, ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to positively communicate and interact with all hotel departments.
- Ability to grasp, lift and or carry, or otherwise, move goods weighing a maximum of 40 lbs.
- Ability to stand for long periods indoors with a thematically climate-controlled workstation.
- Pre-employment background check required.
