STAFF PREMIUM ACCOUNTANT

Aegis General Insurance Agency is seeking a full-time Premium Accountant to join its Accounting team at its Harrisburg, PA office.

Founded in 1977 and acquired by K2 Insurance Services in 2013, Aegis General continues to expand its product offerings and distribution by developing new insurance programs and increasing the number and geographic diversity of its marketing, sales, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare, verify, audit and post cash, check, credit card, wires and ACH payments using multiple operating systems for policyholders.
• Monitor and communicate with agents and policyholders regarding account balances, payment discrepancies and provide customer service as needed.
• Process check, credit card, and ACH payment returns and disputes.
• Daily Lockbox policy payments support as needed.
• Review and process rejected payments as needed.
• Posting returns onto policies.
• Distribute Statements as needed.
• Support banking needs and process monthly reconciliations.
• Authorize and generate refund checks.
• Rely on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
• Accomplish department and organization mission by completing related projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting Preferred
• 4+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.

Pay Range: 55,000-60,000 USD per year
