This role is integral to our operations and is instrumental in ensuring the successful planning and execution of our commercial projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all preconstruction activities, including budgeting, scheduling, design review, and contract negotiation. They will also play a key role in liaising with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition from the preconstruction phase to the construction phase.

Responsibilities:
As a Preconstruction Manager, you will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities that are crucial to the success of our projects. These include:
1. Overseeing all preconstruction activities, including cost estimating, scheduling, and design review.
2. Collaborating closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful planning and execution of projects.
3. Reviewing and providing input on design documents, contracts, and other project-related materials.
4. Preparing and presenting preconstruction plans and budgets to clients and other stakeholders.
5. Negotiating contracts with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring that all terms are favorable and in line with project objectives.
6. Identifying and mitigating potential risks during the preconstruction phase.
7. Participating in client meetings and presentations, providing expert advice and guidance on preconstruction matters.
8. Ensuring that all preconstruction activities are carried out in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need a combination of education, skills, and experience. These include:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in preconstruction management, with a focus on commercial projects.
3. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in using preconstruction software and tools.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
7. Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
8. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing preconstruction teams to success.
