We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Sales Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team. This We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Pre-Sales Engineer to join our Data and Analytics team, the fintech arm of BNY Mellon. This role is located in Wellesley, MA – HYBRID. This role will focus on the software solutions of Eagle Accounting, Performance, and Data Management as well Data Vault, our new public cloud solution.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- The Sales Engineer is responsible for conducting informative product demonstrations and presentations for potential customers at any location within the North America region. Showcasing the features, functions, and value propositions of the Eagle Accounting, Performance and Data Management products as well as the Data Vault product, our new public cloud solution.
- In addition to demonstrations, s/he is responsible for completing incoming Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documentation.
- Lead the development and execution of proof of concept (PoC) projects to demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of our software solutions in addressing customer challenges. This includes activities such as loading sample data, identifying business requirements/challenges and playing back solutions to prospective clients.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- 5+ years experience in a sales engineering, technical sales, or similar role within the software/financial services industry.
- Experience with Financial Software solutions is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake).
- Strong SQL skills, Python is a plus.
- Ability to work as part of a team is mandatory.
- BS/BA degree.
- Extensive travel normally required.
- Excellent oral, written and presentation skills. Prior public speaking or presentation experience is preferred.
Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience in business management or related field is required.
