Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overall design, development and implementation of systems and operations for multiple physician practices and ambulatory clinics. This position provides supervision and oversight in the management of daily operations and administrative activities, so that operations are efficient, consistent, productive and supportive of successful maintenance and/or growth of services.
Works collaboratively with the Physician Directors, the Director of Ambulatory Services, the Medical Director and the Vice President of Patient and Clinical Support Services in meeting the strategic goals of the Ambulatory Division and the Hospital.
Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Health Administration preferred, or other experience and education in related field.
Minimum Experience: 3-4 years previous business experience, preferably in a physician practice management or healthcare finance setting. 1 - 2 years office management and/or supervisory experience. Previous budgetary and accounting experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills: Word processing; spreadsheet and database preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to deal effectively, courteously, and successfully with management, physicians, and staff. Demonstrated experience in management and/or administrative skills, practices and procedures, such as ability to create and organize systems. Ability to work independently, problem solve, handle multiple priorities Knowledge of medical terminology. Excellent organizational skills. Prior experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC) preferred.
