HonorHealth is looking for a Practical Rad Tech to support the Urgent Care Center at the W. Ray Road location. This Center is made up of team members that include Providers, MAs, Reg Sched and Lead MOA. The patient demographic is from pediatric to geriatric and includes sick care, Occupational Health - drug screens, breath alcohol testing, TB reads and placements, physical and sports physicals, stitches for lacerations and more. This is a team-driven group that strive to work collectively as a team to help one another, fast-paced environment and cheerful under the leadership of a Practice Manager who is involved but not a micro-manager and will jump in to support the team. Applicants must meet the minimum requirements of the successful completion of a pratcial technologist program through an approvedrecognized by the Arizona Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE), prior worlk experience along with a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card and current PRT certification. To ensure success in the role you must have strong team building skills, good communication, organized and have a strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:Job Summary
Under the direction of a radiologist, this position performs diagnostic procedures and demonstrates independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative. Assumes responsibility for tasks or procedures within the scope of a practical radiology technologist. Ability to produce high quality radiographic examinations and demonstrate independent judgment in a safe and timely manner, as ordered by a physician. Incumbent operates within the scope of practice for a practical radiology technologist. May be required to occasionally float between facilities.
- Performs all functions within the scope of a practical radiology technician as related to radiographic procedures for patients.
Correctly identifies patient and corresponding examination.
Obtains patient history and relays information to Radiologist.
Uses proper positioning and radiographic technique to ensure high quality radiographic examinations.
Operates equipment within specifications as demonstrated by observation and audit.
Educates the patient and others regarding procedures and related information as demonstrated by documentation and feedback.
Will be required to occasionally float to various Imaging facilities depending on patient volume/workload. - Maintains equipment and materials within manufacturer’s and organization specifications.
Diagnostic tests are performed on equipment to ensure accurate tests as demonstrated by documentation.
Cleans equipment and stocks supplies as required.
Assists in inventory control and ordering supplies within budget guidelines - Performs various required administrative functions related to the Radiology department.
Patient records will be promptly and accurately prepared and maintained.
Billing information will be processed in a manner to allow prompt billing as demonstrated by audit. - Performs other duties as assigned.
