About the Job
To provide the repair of all fastening tooling in the Plant; assembly process to include but not limited to DC Electric, pulse, air and battery tools. Candidates should possess the skills to implement improvements and preventative measures within our scope of operation. Candidates with experience in power tool repair, maintenance and strong quality systems are preferred. The best candidates are previous Quality Technicians, Calibration Technicians, and/or Hands-On Maintenance Technicians in complex process settings.
Essential Functions:
Maintenance or repair of torque related process equipment in a manufacturing environment.
Install, test, calibrate, and repair simple and complex mechanical tools in a timely manner.
Coordinate and perform preventative maintenance.
Document repair and maintenance activity of equipment in the Cross Company database applications
Be knowledgeable of the methods, practices and procedures for repair and calibration being performed.
Document non-conformances and identify equipment reliability trends
Maintain a safe and clean work environment
Consistently maintain good work attendance and productive work ethic.
Must be able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as assigned
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications:
A.A.S. technical degree (Mechatronics, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering Technology) or related field or military work or equivalent experience preferred
Strong mechanical, electronic and / or technical background in industrial environment preferred
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and excellent customer service skills in a fast paced world class automotive environment

Physical Demands of the Position:
Stands greater than four hours at a time
May require walking 2 - 4 miles during an 8 hour period
Stoops and bends below knee level 2 - 4 times an hour
Lifts and carries less than 50 pounds but greater than 25 pounds repetitively
Climbs stairs more than four times in an eight hour shift
Pushes / pulls objects greater than 25 pounds
