About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience working in a data center power delivery system design technical environment, or 5 years of experience with an advanced degree.
- 5 years of experience with power converter design including DC/DC converter design and board bring up and debugging.
- 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
Preferred qualifications:
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in power system design.
- Experience with analyzing and organizing data.
- Knowledge of power electronics fundamentals and various power conversion designs for data center power delivery.
- Knowledge of power converter modeling and simulation.

As a Hardware Engineer, you design and build the systems that are the heart of the world's largest and most powerful computing infrastructure. With your technical expertise, you lead projects in multiple areas of expertise (i.e., engineering domains or systems) within a data center facility, including construction and equipment installation/troubleshooting/debugging with vendors.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Innovate and design onboard power conversion specifications and solutions (e.g., hotswaps, single-phase/multi-phase voltage regulators, LDOs, intermediate bus converters). Analyze performance, cost, reliability, and availability trade-offs.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with system architects, chip designers, hardware electrical engineering/Systems Integrator, hardware qualifications, mechanical and thermal, and more.
- Lead projects that involve new technologies or new uses of multiple existing technologies.
- Partner with power industry leaders to lead evaluation and adoption of the most compelling technologies.
- Engage cross-functionally to ensure roll-out, testing, and validation. Provide technical leadership and direction while troubleshooting system level power delivery issues.
