About the Position:
The PostgreSQL Database Architect position will design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions. They will create indexable databases by integrating data from diverse systems and tables through effective join operations, ensuring that the databases are finely tuned for performance, enabling seamless access to information.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday 9 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. EST
Your Role:
- Design and develop a PostgreSQL database architectures tailored to meet specific organizational needs.
- Integrate data from multiple sources, creating data pipelines while ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Implement efficient indexing strategies to optimize query performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and user groups to enhance data-driven culture in the organization.
- Perform thorough data analysis to identify patterns and trends, informing database design decisions.
- Implement robust security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Conduct regular performance tuning and optimization to enhance database efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and support to database administrators and development teams.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and best practices in database management.
Qualifications:
- Three to five years of recent experience in a database architecture role required.
- Hands on experience in successfully designing and implementing a full stack database architecture.
- Programming (PostgreSQL and Object-Oriented Language) experience required.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent experience in related field.
- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with database architecture.
- Confidence managing and manipulating SQL data.
- Understanding of data structures and data infrastructure.
- Solid experience in API Management, implementing secure and scalable API solutions.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and best practices.
- Experience leading development teams and managing projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal instruction, as part of a team, and manage time, set priorities and focus energies efficiently.
- Ability to be agile and flexible with evolving projects, understands how to reprioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills with attention to detail.
- Demonstrate professionalism and ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.
Compensation:
The base rate of pay for this position is $80,000 - $130,000 per year. Actual pay is determined based on a number of job-related factors including skills, education, training, credentials, experience, scope and complexity of role responsibilities, geographic location, performance, and working conditions.
