Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our scientific research team in the Department of Medical Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI). The Hahn Laboratory studies mechanisms of cancer initiation and progression as well as development of novel therapeutic targets. We use genome scale systematic approaches to:
- Discover cancer-specific genetic vulnerabilities.
- Decipher molecular pathways underlying cellular transformation and therapeutic resistance.

Responsibilities
- Technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent thought.
- Design, conduct, and troubleshoot hypothesis-testing experiments.
- Design, conduct, and validate high-throughput, hypothesis-generating screens.
- Mentoring of research technicians and undergraduate students.
- Maintain detailed and understandable lab notebooks and records.
- Interpret, discuss and present research findings with lab members and the principal investigator.
- Use computational approaches to analyze complex data sets, including next generation sequencing data sets, and/or effectively collaborate with computational biologists.
- Develop figures to depict research findings, write research and review papers, and present at scientific meetings.
Qualifications
- PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology or related field or MD.
- Mammalian cell line and organoid culturing techniques.
- Proficiency in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
- Self-motivation, collaborative spirit and ability to work in a group setting.
- Able to write scientific reports and present scientific findings.
