The Portfolio Controller will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the financial operations of a prestigious real estate portfolio. Working within a dynamic and established company renowned for its expertise in commercial and residential real estate, this Portfolio Controller position offers the opportunity to contribute to a legacy of excellence while leveraging strong analytical and accounting skills.

The Portfolio Controller role requires a highly skilled professional with a deep understanding of real estate accounting and tax compliance. The Portfolio Controller will be responsible for ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, overseeing year-end closings, and maintaining compliance with complex tax requirements. The Portfolio Controller will also collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights and projections that guide strategic decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute year-end closings (Tax & GAAP basis) for real estate entities, ensuring compliance and precision.
• Prepare detailed financial statements and related disclosures.
• Develop cash flow and tax projections to support business decision-making.
• Oversee partner allocations and ensure accurate reporting.
• Review Federal and NYS tax returns for pass-through entities.
• Coordinate and manage legal filings for New York City properties.

Qualifications:

• CPA license or experience in a CPA firm preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of pass-through entity accounting and tax regulations.
• Strong analytical and general accounting skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Experience in real estate accounting, including managing financial statements and tax filings.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation:
Salary range: $100,000 to $125,000.
