PORTFOLIO ANALYST II
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
Responsible for the portfolio management of the SBC loan portfolio. Primary performance responsibilities include managing an assigned portfolio, managing administratively delinquent loans, completing behavioral and vendor reviews and analyzing early default loans. This position also supports the ongoing needs of the SBC loan portfolio.
What you will do
- Provide support in managing past due loans by monitoring the status of the renewal throughout the process, following for missing information and preparing Short Clear recommendations to extend maturity dates when warranted.
- Assist in the completion of appropriate documentation and obtain required approvals to retain or transfer past due credits to SAD (Administrative Action form, Problem Credit Management form, Notice of Adverse Action, etc.).
- Conduct Post Mortem credit assessments/reviews of credits charged off within 18 months of SBC Credit approval to assess trends.
- Prepare and manage the Quarter End Reportable process by identifying administrative past dues and recommend appropriate actions so as to minimize the administrative past dues for the respective quarter end.
- Independent file review of SBC Credit loans identified by the Early Warning protocol to assess current risk noting credit weakness, strength, deficiencies, mitigants and recommending action to be taken.
- Assess financial risks/strengths of Bank vendors by conducting due diligence financial reviews for Vendor Management team.
- Identify problem loan situations and deterioration of credit quality within the SBC portfolio and communicate findings to management in a timely manner.
- Process transfers to Special Assets Department (SAD).
- Prepare and present special projects, reports and assignments as requested.
- Ad hoc financial analysis.
- Assist with the development and documentation of ad hoc policies and procedures.
- Training of new colleagues.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the credit administration, portfolio management, small business underwriting or work out area of a financial institution.
Skills and Knowledge
- Minimum 7 years experience in small business underwriting or portfolio management.
- Highly knowledgeable of small business credit policies and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good time management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to effectively prioritize.
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
- Solid research and analysis skills.
Compensation
Starting base salary: $41.83 - $66.81 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
